The SLATE International Film Festival is open to filmmakers from any backgrounds and aims to give everyone the opportunity to showcase their best work with an international audience, who share the same passion for films. Behind this film festival lies the idea that there is no need for expensive equipment or a big budget to make a movie. Some amazing award-winning movies have been made on a mobile phone, a lot of coffee and sandwiches. That's the spirit of Indie filmmaking and our motivation for SlateIFF.
